Hattie Rose Olson, 93, of Spicer, died Wednesday morning, April 25, at Bethesda Heritage Center in Willmar.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 29, at Faith Lutheran Church in Spicer. Interment will be at the Spicer City Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are with the Peterson Brothers Green Lake Funeral Home.
Hattie Rose Olson was born on February 1, 1919, on a farm near Raymond, Minnesota, the daughter of Charles and Jennie (Nelson) Isaacson. She grew up near Priam and attended Priam grade school. On June 18, 1939, Hattie was married to Edwin Olson and they made their home in Spicer. Hattie worked as a waitress in Spicer, then as a baker at Orred's Store and Jubas Super Value in Spicer. Following retirement, she and Edwin spent their winters in Rio Grande Valley, Texas. Hattie was a long time member of Faith Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her three children, Gaylon (and Judy) Olson of Atwater, Lonnie (and Sharon) Olson of Spicer and Darlene (and Charles) Gallager of Port Charlotte, FL.; ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, besides other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edwin in 1998; one son, Merrill; one grandson, Matthew; four brothers, Victor, Alvin, Harry and Fred; and three sisters, Anna Grubbs, Daisy Johnson and Goldie Isaacson.
