Hazel M. DeLong, age 70, of Pennock, died Sunday morning, September 9, at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 12, at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar. Interment will be in Cloverleaf Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Hazel Mae DeLong was born April 25, 1937, on the family farm near Willmar, the daughter of George and Sena (Koenon) Zimmer. She attended school in Priam, at Country School #94, and at Willmar High School. On February 19, 1958, she married Lester A. DeLong. They lived and farmed northeast of Raymond and later near Pennock. She was a past member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Raymond.
She is survived by a son, James DeLong of Pennock; three stepchildren, Virgil DeLong of Arizona, Verla Kimberlin of Arizona and Viola Reigstad of New Mexico; a sister, Helen Zimmer of Willmar and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Lester in 1982.
