Helen Vance

Helen M. Vance, age 89, of Willmar, died Wednesday, June 18, at her home in Willmar.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 25, at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar with visitation one hour prior to the service.

Helen was born July 23, 1924, in Winona, Minnesota, the daughter of Glen and Ida (Norton) Vance. She lived in Chippewa Falls, WI, Winona, Faribault, Anoka, Atwater and since 2003 in Willmar. She worked at Kandi Works DAC in Atwater.

Helen loved children, animals, and watching the birds come to her bird feeders on the deck. She also loved dances, fishing, shopping, and van rides. She loved going to work and was the main gal of all folding towels, etc. She enjoyed planting flowers in the spring, singing and playing bingo. She had a huge heart and a love for all things. She enjoyed life to the max.

She is survived by a half brother, Willis; a half sister, Ruby (and Norman) Hall; a niece, Patty; and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She will be dearly missed by her family, 1228 staff, and friends. Blessed be Helen's memory.
