Henrietta "Tootsie" R. Larson, age 90, of Willmar, died Sunday evening, Dec. 20, at Bethesda Pleasantview Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, Dec. 28, at the First Baptist Church in Willmar. Burial will be at Cloverleaf Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Monday. Arrangements are with Peterson Brothers Funeral Home.
Tootsie was born on December 9, 1919, near Hector, Minnesota, the daughter of George and Henrietta (Anders) Johnson. She grew up and received her education in the Hector community. On July 29, 1943, Tootsie was united in marriage to Stanley M. Larson and they made their home in Willmar. Tootsie was employed at the Willmar Cookie Company for many years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and active in the decorating committee and various other womens groups.
Tootsie enjoyed coffee time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed traveling, gardening and sewing. She will be best remembered for giving so much of herself to others.
She is survived by her three children, Keith (and Joan) Larson of White Bear Lake, Luana Larson of Plymouth and Shelley (and Dale) Mortensen of Plymouth; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Also surviving two brothers, Marvin (and Cecelia) Johnson of California and Burton Johnson of Australia and two sisters, Rosetta "Tootie" Strand of Minneapolis and Byrma (and Irwin) Tallakson of Willmar, besides other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Stanley in 1989; one grandson, Aaron Larson in 2004; one sister, Evelyn Anderson and six brothers, Harold, George Jr., Vernon, LaVerne, Arvin and Alfred in infancy.
