Henry “Hank” Swart, age 93, of Spicer, passed away Sunday, January 29, at the CentraCare Paynesville Hospital.

Henry Swart was born on November 12, 1929, in Willmar, Minnesota, the son of John and Jennie (Flym) Swart. He grew up and received his education in the Prinsburg and Spicer communities. On December 1, 1951, in Spicer, Henry was married to Ramona Gandrud. To this union, they were blessed with two children, Kevin and Heidi. Henry worked for over 36 years for Willmar Poultry Company as a farm manager. Following his retirement in 1999, he continued his love for farming by helping his nephew, Roger on his farm near New London. Hank was a hard worker and enjoyed staying busy.
Hank was great at problem solving, fixing things and being a handyman to many. He had a love for the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing on Norway Lake, hunting deer and fox with his brothers and trap shooting. He also enjoyed camping, cross-country skiing, traveling with his family, woodworking and solving puzzles.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 71 years, Ramona; one daughter, Heidi Brewster of Benson; six grandchildren, Amy Smith, Angela Hoppe, Jaime Anderson, Kim Marcum, Jason Swart and Corey Marcum; ten great grandchildren and two great great granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Kevin; and ten siblings, Martha, John, George, Mike, Bill, Tony, Albert, Effie, Jennie and Martin in infancy.
