Hulda Josephine Schroeder, age 86, of Willmar, died Thursday morning, November 24, 2011, at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.
Funeral services will be 1 P.M., Monday, November 28, at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Willmar. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Willmar. Hulda was born February 14, 1925, in Clara City, Minnesota, the daughter of William and Alice (Anderson) Donner. She grew and received her education in Clara City, graduated from Clara City High School in 1943. She married William Schroeder and they later divorced.
Hulda worked as a clerk at her brother's jewelry store in Clara City, as a computer operator at VSC and later at the Clara City Public Library. She moved to Willmar in the mid 1990s and worked at the Willmar Public Library and the Kandiyohi County Historical Museum, retiring at age 80. Hulda was active with Senior Citizens and enjoyed scrapbooking. She was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Willmar. Hulda had resided the past several years at Rice Care Center.
She is survived by three children: Carol (and Steven) Dufault of Crookston, Kim Schroeder of Clara City and Bill (and Cindy) Schroeder of Redwood Falls; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters: Edith, Mabel and Alice "Tudy"; and two brothers: Bill and Clarence "Ole".
