Ina Myrl Moffat was born December 28, 1939 in Index, Kentucky to her parents Martha (Noble) and Green Hudson. Her parents passed away at the age of two at which time she and her sister Janet went to live with their grandparents until their passing when Myrl was five years old. Myrl and her sister then went to live with their older sister Frankie and family until age twelve. She then moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with her sister Pauline Freeman. She graduated from high school in 1959. After graduating, she went to beauty school and became a beautician. It was during this time that she met Gary Moffat. They married in 1962 in Flourtown, Pennsylvania at the First Presbyterian Church. She continued working as a beautician while Gary completed college. Gary then joined the Air Force and became an officer. Gary Jr. and Jennifer were born while they were stationed at Vandenburg Airforce Base in Vandenburg, California. Tom was born while they were based in Ankara, Turkey. Upon returning to the states, they were stationed in various locations including, Pennsylvania, Great Falls, Montana, and eventually Milwaukee, Wisconsin where Gary retired in 1996. At that time they moved to Washington state to be near their daughter Jennifer and son-in-law Joel Hartman. Myrl accepted Christ as her Savior while living in Great Falls, Montana in the 1970’s. She and Gary were dedicated members of Central Assembly of God. They enjoyed teaching Bible Quiz to the youth in Great Falls and Oak Creek Wisconsin. Gary and Myrl then moved to Forest, Virginia until the passing of their beloved daughter Jennifer and mourned her loss for many years. They eventually moved to Willmar, Minnesota with their son Gary and wife Shardell. This would be their final move as Gary passed away in April of 2024 and Myrl nine months later.
