Inez A. Eddy, 98, of Willmar died Thursday afternoon, April 2 at Bethesda Heritage Center in Willmar.
Funeral services will be Friday, April 10, 11:00 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Willmar. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Willmar. Visitation will be Thursday, April 9, 5:00-8:00 p.m. Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar and one hour prior to the church service. In lieu of flowers, donations preferred to First Presbyterian Church in Willmar.
Inez Alvina Eddy was born July 1, 1916, to Albert "Ed" and Inga Larson in Arctander Township, Minnesota. When she was 5 years old her family moved to a farm north of New London, and moved to Willmar when she was 16. She married Henry J. Eddy on February 22, 1939, and they lived on the Eddy family farm southwest of Willmar and also in Svea for 8 years. In 1964 Henry retired from farming and they moved into Willmar. Inez was an active member of First Presbyterian Church, serving as a Deacon, Sunday School teacher, and in Circles. She was also a volunteer at Rice Hospital, 4H leader, Cub Scout leader, and involved with Home Extension. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, baking, all types of handwork like hardanger, needlepoint, and quilting, traveling, and above all spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Robert (Peggy) Eddy of Litchfield, Janet Eddy of Hopkins, and Jeanine (Mike) Ronning of Maple Grove; daughter-in-law, Syd Eddy of Willmar; 18 grandchildren, Teri Grove, Lisa (Dave) Strom, Duane Eddy, Jill (Joe) Drees, Becky Eddy McCann, Jeri Svoboda, David (Staci) Eddy, Sarah (Bob) Berkowitz, Andrew Herman, Kris (Craig) Jenson, Ryan Eddy, Ross (Heather) Eddy, Jason (Krystle) Reese, Shannon (Jim) Murphy, Renae Eddy, Lindsay (Victoria) Vargas, Emily Ronning, Max Ronning, 27 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 1975; two children, Bruce in 2007 and Joan in 2008 and her brothers, Clifford and Sophus.
