Inga C. Enger, 94, of Willmar, died Sunday, March 14, at Rice Care Center in Willmar.
The service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 18, at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. The interment will be at a later date at the Brooklyn-Crystal Cemetery in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota.
Inga Caroline Enger was born on May 24, 1915, at the family farm in Swift County, Minnesota, the daughter of Nellie (Stolan) and Elmer Dale. She was baptized and attended the Monson Lake Lutheran Church near Sunburg. Later her family moved to Willmar where Inga attended and was confirmed at Vinje Lutheran Church. Inga attended and graduated from Willmar High School. She was married on June 23, 1935 to Carl Elliott Enger and they made there home in Willmar. To this union was born three daughters. The family moved to Osseo, Minnesota, in 1968 and were active members of the Advent Lutheran Church. Carl died in 1970 and Inga began working at the Osseo Nursing Home. She worked at the nursing home until she moved back to Willmar and reestablished her membership at Vinje Lutheran Church. In May of 1999 she moved to Rice Care Center and has resided there since.
Inga is survived by her daughters: Jacqualine Johnson of Spokane, Washington, Carolyn Reed of Willmar, Minnesota, and Denise Enger of Willmar. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews, besides other friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son-in-law: Gerald Reed, seven siblings and a grandson and a great-grandson.
