Janet "Jan" Adele Aitchison, age 57, of Willmar, died Saturday morning, March 29, at Bethesda Heritage Center in Willmar.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 2, at the Church of St. Mary with Fr. Brian Mandel officiating. Interment will be in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Raymond. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday with a 7:30 parish prayer service at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Janet Adele Aitchison was born April 28, 1950, in Waseca, Minnesota, the daughter of Clarence and June (Warren) Leuze. She was later adopted by Walter and Delores Aitchison and lived with them in Silver Creek. She later lived in foster homes in Buffalo and Cokato. She had lived at the Divine House in Willmar for the past eight years. She was employed at ProWorks, DAC in Litchfield. She loved animals and enjoyed being around people.
She is survived by her twin brother, Michael Aitchison of Annandale; a brother, Clayton (and Lois) Leuze of southern Minnesota; two sisters, Paula (and Timothy) Powers of Hawick and Wynne Lavyncynt of Bemidji; her adoptive mother, Delores Aitchison of Bloomington; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death her birth parents, Clarence and June Leuze; her adoptive father, Walter Aitchison and a brother, Sherman Leuze.
