Jacquelyn Trettin

Jacquelyn "Jackie" A. Trettin, age 64, of Atwater died unexpectedly Sunday evening at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.
A time of gathering and sharing will be held from 5-7 PM Saturday, August 12, at the Atwater Community Center in Atwater, Minnesota. Arrangements are with Peterson Brothers Atwater Funeral Home in Atwater. (www.petersonbrothers.com)
Jacquelyn Ann Trettin was born on June 7, 1953 in Norfolk, Virginia, the daughter of William and Jean (Baier) Nichols. The family moved to Mankato, Minnesota for a short time before moving to Hutchinson. Jackie completed her education in Hutchinson, graduating from Hutchinson High School. She was married to Wes Lorenz and worked for 3 M in Hutchinson for about 3 years. She attended Beauty College in St. Cloud and worked as a beautician in the Hutchinson area for about 20 years. Jackie was married to Tim Trettin and they later divorced. She moved to Atwater to be with Kevin in 1994 and they have been together since. Jackie worked for Reick's Cleaning Service, Jennie-O Foods for 5 years and later for Super American for 5 years. Jackie enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, collecting Coke items, gardening and growing flowers. She loved her daughter, grandchildren, being with family and friends and her cat Baby.
She is survived by her life partner of 25 years, Kevin Inselmann of Atwater and one daughter, Shelly and Kirk Wallman of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Cade and Tate Wallman, two brothers; Nic Nichols of Nashville, TN and Dennis Nichols of Hutchinson and five sisters; Colleen Nichols of Cottage Grove, Kathy Nichols of South Haven, Dawn Zelm of Hutchinson, Shirley (and Jim) Hackbarth of Lake Minnie Bell and Bonnie (and Arthur) Roveto of Liberty, MO, besides other relatives and friends.
Jackie was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Douglas Nichols in 2013.
