James B. "Herman" Jackson, age 46, of rural Atwater died unexpectedly Wednesday, May 24, near his home.
Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 30, at Rosendale United Methodist Church in rural Atwater with Rev. Joseph Carpenter officiating. The interment will be at a later date. Arrangements are with the Atwater Funeral Home.
James Bradley Jackson was born March 9, 1960, in Litchfield, the son of Glenn and Geraldine (Peterson) Jackson. He was baptized and confirmed at Rosendale United Methodist Church. He grew up in the rural Atwater community, attended the District 777 School and graduating from Atwater High School in 1978. He worked for a time at the Atwater Creamery and Jennie-O Foods and was most recently employed by Whitcomb Brothers Construction. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and taking care of his dogs.
He is survived by his mother, Geraldine Jackson of Atwater; a brother, Thomas Jackson of Atwater; four sisters, Diane (and Patrick) Shoutz of Rosendale, Sandra Jackson of Lake Lillian, Nancy Jackson (and Joe Mata) of Lake Lillian and Donna (and Duane) Denny of Atwater. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, many great nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Glenn E. Jackson and a brother, Ronald Jackson.
