Janet Reich

Janet Yvonne Reich, age 53, of rural Atwater, died Sunday, March 7, at her home on Diamond Lake. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 13, at Bethel Lutheran Church. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM on Friday, March 12, at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home and will continue for one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.

Janet was born on April 27, 1956, in Litchfield, the daughter of Vendel and Linnea (Carlson) Larson. She grew up in Litchfield and Atwater, graduating from Atwater High School in 1974. On June 12, 1976, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Atwater, Janet was married to Wayne Reich. They were blessed with three children. Janet was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church, the Country Skippers and the Little Crow Ski Team. She was employed at ACMC in Willmar for over 24 years. She enjoyed waterskiing, snowmobiling, sewing and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne; her three children, Alyssa (and Aaron) Abrahamson of Moorhead, Travis Reich (and fiance, Samantha Menefee) of San Antonio, TX., and Kyle Reich (and special friend, Nicole Boeyink) of Willmar; and one granddaughter, Lilly Abrahamson. Also surviving is her mother, Linnea Johnson of Atwater and a cousin, Kathy (and Lloyd) Mahn of Atwater, besides other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Vendel and her stepfather, Gordy Johnson.
