Jeanette Seehusen was born September 16, 1923 the daughter of Raymond and Rena (Bruns) Sietsema at home near Raymond, Minnesota. At a young age she moved with her parents and family to a farm northeast of Sacred Heart in Ericson township. She spent her school years going to a country school, District 131, Sacred Heart. After completing the eighth grade she stayed home to help out with the farm and her siblings. On November 6, 1941 she was united in marriage to Anton G. Seehusen at her parents home. Together they farmed north of Danube for several years before moving to a farm north of Sacred Heart where they farmed until Anton's death in June 1967. At this time she moved to Sacred Heart and was employed as a school cook for 23 years, retiring in 1991. In 1995 she moved to Willmar. She thoroughly enjoyed her coffee parties with the neighbor ladies, volunteering at church, and following her grandchildren's activities. She was affectionately known as "Ma See". She touched many lives, especially in her years as a school cook. She was a woman of strong faith which provided her comfort in her later years.
