Jeffrey Pieterick

Jeffrey M. Pieterick, age 53, of Willmar, died unexpectedly Wednesday evening, Sept. 14, at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar from an apparent heart attack.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 21, at the Church of St. Mary in Willmar. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are with Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar. www.petersonbrothers.com

Jeffrey Michael Pieterick was born on August 30, 1963, in Rolette, North Dakota, the son of Michael and Elaine (Lunde) Pieterick. He grew up in Wolford, North Dakota and Greenbush, Minnesota and graduated from Greenbush High School in 1981. Jeffrey attended the University of Minnesota Crookston and earned a BA degree in hotel/restaurant management. He owned and operated the South Branch Supper Club in Greenbush and later moved to Buffalo, New York where he managed the Prime Time Supper Club. In 1994, Jeffrey returned to Greenbush, Minnesota and re-purchased the supper club. On July 24, 2009, Jeffrey was united in marriage to Patty (Kuznia) Fugleberg. They made their home in Greenbush and in 2013, they moved to Willmar. Jeffrey was employed with Heglund Catering as a cook. He enjoyed antiques and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Jeffrey was a hard worker and will be best remembered for being respectful, detailed, organized and giving to others.

He is survived by his loving wife, Patty of Willmar; four children, Derek (and Julie) Fugleberg of Grand Forks, ND., Magen (and Darin) Schirmers of Willmar, Whitney Fugleberg of Willmar and Heather Trangsrud of Eden Prairie and six grandchildren, Isabella, Jaxin, Natalia, Gabriella, Sawyer and Quinn. Also surviving is his mother, Elaine Pieterick of Arcadia, FL.; one brother, Douglas (and Jennifer) Pieterick of Warner Robins, GA., and one sister, Staci (and Shawn) Nichols of North Port, FL., besides other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Michael in 2015.
