Donald Caine was born on October 15, 1921, on the family farm near Willmar, the son of Arthur and Alice (Wagner) Caine. Donald grew up in the Willmar community, was baptized and confirmed at the First Presbyterian Church and graduated from Willmar High School in 1939. He became engaged in his family's farming operation. On September 11, 1953, Donald was married to Dorothy V. Engwall. They lived and farmed in Whitefield Township. He was a past member and leader in the 4-H Club and past board member of the Svea Creamery. He was proud to have lived in Kandiyohi County his entire life. Donald kept active in bowling league, snowmobiling and 4-wheeling. He enjoyed the farm life, going on evening drives looking at his crops and the time spent with his family and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; four children, Larry (and Mary) Caine of Nashville, TN., Mark (and Boni) Caine of Forest Lake, Sharon (and Greg) Dannenbring of Duluth and Sandra (and Brian) Krause of Victoria; nine grandchildren and one brother, George Caine of Yountville, CA, besides other relatives and friends.
