John Feldman was born October 29, 1908 on the family farm near Renville, Minnesota, the son of Rena (VanEllen) and Reemt Feldman. He grew up in that area, was baptized at Ebenezer Presbyterian Church north of Renville and received his education in the rural schools. John was active in farming from an early age and he worked for many area farmers and helped who ever needed it. On February 28, 1940, he was married to Elsie Blomquist in Blomkest, Minnesota and they made their home on a farm north of Renville that they bought and raised their two daughters.
