John James Quinn II, 41, of Spicer, died Tuesday, June 25, at his residence.
Memorial Mass will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, July 5, at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church in Spicer. There will be no visitation or reviewal. Arrangements are with the Peterson Brothers Green Lake Funeral Home in Spicer. www.petersonbrothers.com
John James Quinn II was born on October 24, 1971, in Charlotte, North Carolina, the son of James E and Catherine (Niles) Quinn. He grew up in Clearwater, Florida and graduated from Clearwater Central Catholic High School in 1990 and Florida State University in 1995 with a degree in Economics. John was employed at the Florida Lottery in Tallahassee, National Market Share in Tampa and Fingerhut in Minneapolis. In 2001, John moved to Spicer where he managed Papa's Pizza.
John was a loyal and devoted son, brother, uncle and friend. He enjoyed soccer, golf, college football, playing black jack, gardening and decorating for Christmas. His favorite moments were spent enjoying his family and friends during their summer stays at Green Lake. Many will remember John for his fun loving ways, but ALL will remember, most of all, his loving heart.
He is survived by his mother, Catherine Quinn of Spicer; three siblings, Tim (and Gwen) Quinn of Tampa, FL., Margaret Quinn of Melbourne, FL and Kathleen (and Ron) Benson of Safety Harbor, FL, as well as his nephews and nieces: Anthony, Amanda, Caitlin, Brittney, Abaigeal, Quinn, Cecelia, Blaine, Niles.
He was preceded in death by his father.
