Joshua Hegna

Joshua J. Hegna, age 38, of St. Cloud, passed away in an ATV accident near a residence in Roseland Township on Saturday evening, May 30.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 5, at Robbins Island Park in Willmar.  Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Friday.  Interment will follow the service at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Brooten.  Arrangements are with Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar.  www.petersonbrothers.com

Joshua Joe Hegna was born on July 2, 1981, in Willmar, Minnesota.  He grew up in Willmar and graduated from Willmar High School in 2000.  Joshua was employed at Culver’s in St. Cloud and Willmar.  He enjoyed spending his time with family and friends, eating good food, fishing, hunting and being outdoors.  Joshua will be best remembered for always helping people, telling stories and having a big smile on his face.

He is survived by his grandmothers, Ramona Knudsvig and Judy Hegna; his mother and step-father, Sharon (and Darryl) Zook; his father, Ronnie Joe Hegna; three siblings, Jonathan (and Holli) Hegna, Nichole Porttiin and Jacob Hegna; two nieces, Liliana Sanchez and Kylie Porttiin and two nephews, Max Hegna and Sam Hegna, besides other realtives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Berdine Knudsvig and Verlyn Hegna and cousin, Amie Karger Redmond.
