Joyce Hoefs

Joyce E. Hoefs, age 78, of Willmar, died Sunday afternoon, June 14, at Willmar Commons Care Center in Willmar.

Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 8, at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Willmar. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. The interment will be it the Immanual Lutheran Cemetery near Hutchinson. Arrangements are with Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar.

Joyce Edna Hoefs was born was born November 28, 1930, in rural Litchfield, Minnesota, the daughter of Emil and Lydia (Seefeldt) Hoefs. She grew up in the Cedar Mills and Hutchinson area and attended rural school in the Cedar Mills area. Due to her health, Joyce entered nursing home care at a young age and resided there until her death. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Willmar, where she involved with the quilting group. She enjoyed puzzles, flowers and collecting "things".

She is survived by a sister, Betty Putney of Hutchinson, besides other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Milan Hoefs.
