Judith Marion Jensen was born March 26, 1942, in Burlington, Iowa, the daughter of Merlin and Frances (Bammert) Scheevel. She grew up and received her education in Spring Grove, Minnesota, graduating from Spring Grove High School in 1960. She then attended Northwestern School of Nursing and the University of Minnesota Medical Laboratory Technician Program and worked as a lab tech for a short time. On December 19, 1964, she married William Jensen at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spring Grove. In 1973, they moved to the New London-Spicer area, where they ran a number of small businesses. In the early 1980s, Judy began a sales career in insurance and real estate.
Judy was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, where she sang in the choir and was a member of the altar guild. She was also a member of the Spicer Commercial Club and the Beautification Committee. She was smart, strong and witty, had a zest for life and touched many people. She was a mentor to many, whether it was helping them find a home or getting started in business. The world was a better place because of her.
She enjoyed music, spending time with her kids and grandkids and traveling to Hawaii.
