Judy Ann Nephew, age 65, of Raymond, died Saturday evening, May 16, at the Glenwood Retirement Village in Glenwood.
Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 21, at the United Methodist Church in Raymond. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Raymond at a later date. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Judy was born May 8, 1950, in Hutchinson, Minnesota, the daughter of Clinton and Lucille (Hileman) Sebring. She was baptized on May 26, 1950, at Swedlanda Lutheran Church in Hector and confirmed on May 16, 1965, at First Lutheran Church in Lake Lillian. She graduated from Raymond High School on May 19, 1968.
On April 12, 1969, she married David Nephew at the United Methodist Church in Raymond and they made their home in Raymond. Judy worked for Jennie-O for many years and was later employed at as a C.N.A. at area nursing homes working with Alzheimer's patients. Judy was an active member in the Raymond community and especially looked forward to baking cookies for children to decorate when the Santa Semi came to town. She loved spending time with her family and adored her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, David Nephew of Raymond, MN; two sons, James Nephew of Grand Forks, ND and Tim (and Amy) Nephew of Fargo, ND; two grandchildren, Trenton and Ali; her father, Clinton Sebring of Willmar, MN; twelve siblings, Maydean (and Calvin) Petersen of Willmar, MN, Paul (and Sandy) Sebring of Raymond, MN, Linda (and Ron) Cooley of Urbandale, IA, Roy Sebring of Stewartville, MN, Terry (and Janice) Sebring of Joelton, TN, Alice (and Marvin) Aasen of Willmar, MN, Iris (and Gordon) Rocha of Sioux City, IA, John Sebring of Svea, MN, Beverly (and Gary) Hasbrook of Paynesville, MN, Janice (and Kevin) Noor of Everett, WA, Brenda (and Paul) Tuve of Raymond, MN, and Michael Sebring of Willmar, MN; a sister-in-law, Pat Sebring of Sedalia, MO; several nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lucille Sebring; a brother, Darrell Sebring; and a sister, Karen Sebring.
