Julie Ann Sorenson

Julie Ann Sorenson, age 66, of Willmar, passed away Saturday morning, Aug. 6, at Carris Health Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. followed by a celebration of life service at 7 p.m. on Monday, August 15, at the Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar.  www.petersonbrothers.com

Julie Ann Sorenson was born on September 24, 1955, in Windom, Minnesota, the daughter of Lloyd and Grace (Chester) Mix.  She grew up in Windom and Sioux Falls and graduated from Windom High School in 1973.  She was married to Joel Link and were blessed with four children.  They lived in Sioux Falls and Windom prior to their divorce.  On June 26, 1999, Julie was married to Lee Sorenson and they made their home in Willmar.  She was employed for many years at the Cash Wise Deli Department.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, her pet dogs, flowers and gardening.

She is survived by her husband, Lee of Willmar; her children, Brian Link of Texas, Caleb (and Erin) Link of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Elizabeth Linbo of New Jersey and Jared Link of Willmar; six grandchildren and one sister, Loris (and Richard) Frost of Hudson, Wisconsin, besides other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Jon.
