June 13, 1918 — January 20, 2013

June M. Adams, age 94, of Willmar, died Sunday evening, January 20, at Bethesda Pleasant View Nursing Home in Willmar.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 24, at the First Covenant Church in Willmar. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Cloverleaf Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Rice Hospice, the Bethesda Foundation or donor's choice are preferred. Arrangements are with the Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar.

June Mary Adams was born on June 13, 1918, in Willmar, Minnesota, the daughter of William and Metha (Christenson) Bergman. She grew up in Willmar, was baptized and confirmed at the Swedish Mission Covenant Church in Willmar and graduated from Willmar High School in 1936. On March 7, 1943, June was united in marriage to Earl W. Adams and they made their home in Willmar. June was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. Following Earl's retirement, they spent many winters in Texas. She was an active member of the Willmar Senior Citizens and the Kandiyohi County Historical Society. She was also a charter member of "the Bremer Friends". June enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, having coffee with her friends and watching the Wheel of Fortune show.

She is survived by two daughters, Janice (and Larry) Barber of Maple Grove and Karen (and David) Rosenquist of Plymouth; five grandchildren, Lisa (and George) Zahn, Wade Barber, Kevin (and Jessica) Rosenquist, Andrew Barber (and Beth Thotland), and Scott Rosenquist; eight great-grandchildren, Alexandra Barber-Verdick, Elijah Zahn, Rose Zahn, Jackson Wencl, Peyton Rosenquist, Audrey Rose Barber-Kolby, Everett Rosenquist, and Logan Claire Barber; a sister, Marvis (and Marvin) Muller of Rochester; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earl in 1989; one brother, Donald Bergman and one sister, Vera Johnson.
