The interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery. Kenneth Albert Jacobson was born on May 17, 1918, in Madrid, Iowa, the son of JAcob Albert and Martha Caroline (Swanson) Jacobson. His family moved to the Pennock area when he was a small child. Ken grew up in the Willmar area and attended District 57 rural school. His family farmed in several areas around Willmar and settled on a farm south of Kandiyohi. Ken farmed with his parents until they retired in 1969 and moved to Willmar. He worked for Fairview Cemetery for several years as a caretaker and later for the West Central Tribune. He worked at night at the Tribune getting papers bundled and ready for delivery. Ken also had his own paper route for several years. For the last six years he had lived at the Centennial Square Apartments. He enjoyed visiting with everyone there, and they all knew him by name and as the fellow that was always happy and content. He loved to go for rides to see the country and enjoy the wonders of nature. He had a remarkable memory and was the one to go to if you need a certain date. Ken was an active member of the Willmar Assembly Of God Church until his health prevented him from attending.

He is survived by one brother: Donald Jacobson of Willmar and two sisters: Duane Eckholm of Willmar and Marilyn (and Reuben) Tengwall of Willmar. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews, besides other relatives and friends. Ken was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Vernelle Jacobson in 1951 and Lawrence Jacobson in 2008.
