Laurie Johnson

Laurie Johnson, 56, of Spicer, died unexpectedly on Saturday morning, April 7.

Memorial services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 16, 2012, at the Green Lake Bible Camp Chapel with visitation one hour prior to the service.

Laurie was born June 6, 1955 in St. Cloud, Minnesota, the daughter of Reinhard and Bonnie (Case) Hoagland. She graduated from Rosemount High School in 1973. In 1975, she married Michael Sasse and they moved to Willmar in 1976. Laurie was a licensed day care provider for many years. She later attended Ridgewater College for sales and marketing and then worked as a florist/designer at Lake Floral in Spicer. On August 1, 1993, she married Roger Johnson and they lived in Spicer.

Laurie is survived by her husband: Roger Johnson; her mother: Bonnie Hoagland of Sun City West, AZ; her daughters: Andrea (and Scott) Ingram and children, Jack and Hadley, of Red Lake Falls and Sara (and Chris) Lester of Spicer; a son: Eric Sasse (and Shera Odland) and children, Dasan and Eryn, of Willmar; and her late son Adam's children: Kalle, Duante, Talon, Trey and Diamante. Also surviving are her siblings: Dana (and Kathy) Hoagland of Hopkins, Denise (and Mark) Hrncir of Farmington, and Cory (and Carol) Hoagland of Apple Valley; stepchildren: Lisa (and Dale) Baker and children, Brandon (and Jill), Courtney (and Jeremy), and Corbin (and Britney), of Hutchinson, Laura Johnson and children, Katelyn, Nicholas and Megan, of Hutchinson, Lynette (and Derek) Nissen and children, Landon and Luke, of Farmington, and Matthew Johnson of Mound; her great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her son: Adam Sasse; her brother: Gordon Hoagland; her father: Reinhard Hoagland; and her grandparents: Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Case and Mr. and Mrs. Clell Hoagland.
