Leslie Lange, age 66, of Atwater, died Thursday evening, March 30, at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Services will be held at 1 PM Thursday, April 6, at Tripolis Lutheran Church of rural Kandiyohi. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Wednesday at Peterson Brothers Atwater Funeral Home in Atwater, MN and at the church one hour prior to the services.
Leslie Vincent Lange was born on September 21, 1950, in Tyler, Minnesota the son of Retha (Burckhardt) and John Lange. He grew up in Russell, Minnesota and received his education, graduating high school. He continued his education and attended two years at a vocational college in Marshall. Les married Rosemary Mead on May 3, 1975 and they made their home in Atwater. He worked for the City of Willmar as a Waste Treatment Operator; specializing in chemical treatment. He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. Les also loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping and watching his sons and grandsons wrestle.
He is survived by his wife, Rosemary of Atwater and five children: Jeff Lange of Grove City, Craig (and Kelli) Lange of Willmar, Chris (and Hunter) Lange of Johnstown, CO, Michelle (and Luke) Holien of Atwater and Retha Lange of Atwater. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren and two brothers, Larry (and Janice) Lange of Brainerd and Richard (and Deanna) Lange of Marshall and many nieces and nephews, besides other relatives and friends.
Les was preceded in death by his parents and one nephew, John Lange.
