Lisa M. (Haugh Hess) McFarland, age 42, of Willmar, died unexpectedly, Thursday afternoon, June 14, at her residence.
A service to celebrate the life of Lisa will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 20, at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 19, at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Kandiyohi County Humane Society, Rice Hospice or Lisa's family are preferred. www.petersonbrothers.com
Lisa Marie McFarland was born on March 25, 1970, in South St. Paul, Minnesota, the daughter of Robert and Linda (Osterman) Haugh. She grew up and went to school in Mendota Heights. In 1984, she moved with her family to Willmar and continued her education in Willmar. In 1993, Lisa was united in marriage to Shaun Robert McFarland and they made their home in Drayton, North Dakota. She continued her education at A.V.T.I in East Grand Forks, Minnesota. In 2001, they moved to Willmar and co-founded McFarland Carpet Care Plus.
Lisa loved the great times on Eagle Lake with her family and friends. She enjoyed collecting lighthouses and was a wonderful cook, especially making homemade salsa and lasagna.
She is survived by her loving husband, Shaun and their children, Cody, Montanna and Reilly. Also surviving are her parents, Rick and Linda Hess of Willmar and brother, Chris Hess (and fiance, Michele Schoenberg) of Spicer, besides other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert and her grandparents.
