Lois Conzet, age 87, of Willmar, formerly of Buffalo area, died peacefully Thursday afternoon, December 24, at Copperleaf Senior Living in Willmar surrounded by her family.
Services will be held at 2 PM, Tuesday, December 29, at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
Lois Mary Conzet was born on October 9, 1928 in Marysville, Minnesota, the daughter of William and Sara (Dixon) Wandersee. She grew up on the family farm near Buffalo, Minnesota and she attended school in that area. Lois continued her education at St. Cloud Teacher's College where she received her masters Degree in Education. On June 14, 1949, Lois was married to Floyd Conzet in Crawford Lake, Minnesota. They made their home in Osseo, Long Prairie and also had a cabin on Lake Osakis. Lois was a teacher for many years in the Hopkins School District. She along with her husband, Floyd, loved to spend time at their cabin and also loved to travel all over the world. Lois enjoyed bowling, golfing, reading and taking family and friends out for a meal and a good laugh. After Floyd passed away, Lois moved to Alexandria, Minnesota and lived there until January of 2010 when she moved to Copperleaf Senior Living Center in Willmar, Minnesota.
She is survived by her sister, Phyllis Frank of Buffalo, Minnesota and one brother, William (and Jacqui) Wandersee of Butte, Montana. Also surviving is her sisters-in-law, Doris Conzet of Loretto and Carol (and Dean) Dixon of Annadale, her niece, Annette Schmidt of Redwood Falls, great nephews, Kurt (and Mary Beth) Schmidt of New London, Kent (and Shaneen) Schmidt of Wadena and great niece, Kori (and Mark) Hodek of Fairdale, North Dakota, many great great nieces and nephews, besides other relatives and friends.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, husband Floyd in 1989 and one brother, Gordon Wandersee.
