Lorraine H. Boonstra, age 78, of Willmar, died Thursday morning, November 5, at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 9, at the Christian Reformed Church in Willmar. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Willmar. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 8, at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Lorraine was born February 11, 1931, in Kandiyohi County, near Raymond, Minnesota, to John and Anna (Ulferts) Ryks. On April 7, 1949, she married Jacob Boonstra and they made their home in Willmar.
She is survived by her husband, Jacob; eleven children, Gary Boonstra, David Boonstra, Nancy Boonstra, Susan Boonstra, and Brian (and Colleen) Boonstra, all of Willmar, Gregg (and Lorri) Boonstra of Grove City, Michael (and Melissa) Boonstra of Annandale, Leon (and Jodie) Boonstra of Omaha, NE, Julie Schaffer of Shoreview, MN, Mary (and Troy) Thompson of Stilwell, KS, and Karen Boonstra of Guantanamo Bay, Cuba; twelve grandchildren; a brother, Melbourne (and Beverly) Ryks of Raymond; a sister: JoAnne (and Curtis) Slagter of Priam and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
