Lorraine E. Lipsit, age 93, of Atwater, died Thursday morning, January 17, at Rice Care Center in Willmar.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 21, at the Church of St. Patrick in Kandiyohi. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in Atwater. Arrangements are with Peterson Brothers Atwater Funeral Home in Atwater.
Lorraine Elizabeth Lipsit was born on January 7, 1920, in Eden Valley, Minnesota, the daughter of Peter and Rose (Loch) Miller. She grew up in Eden Valley and graduated from Eden Valley High School in 1937. On March 18, 1943, Lorraine was united in marriage to Milton James Lipsit at the Assumption Catholic Church in Eden Valley. They lived in Florida and Georgia before moving to Atwater in 1946. Lorraine worked as a homemaker. She was a member of the Church of St. Patrick for over 60 years and belonged to the C.C.W. Her hobbies were crafts and puzzles.
She is survived by a sister-in-law, Leona Miller of St. Cloud and several nieces and nephews, besides other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Milton in 1989 and three brothers, Paul, Nicholas and Raymond.
