Lorraine E. Olson, age 77, of Willmar, died unexpectedly Tuesday morning, August 4, at the Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, August 6th, at the Word of Faith Family Church with Rev. Rod Rice officiating. The interment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Willmar. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church. Arrangements are with Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar.
Lorraine Evelyn Olson was born on December 28, 1931, the daughter of Pauline (Knade) and Victor Lundeen. She grew up in that area, was baptized and confirmed at the Cokato Evangelical Lutheran Church and graduated from Cokato High School in 1949. On November 25, 1965, she was united in marriage to Earl Irve Olson in Bagley, Minnesota, and they made their home in Willmar. Lorraine was employed by the University of Minnesota Poultry Division in Willmar as a Laboratory Technician for 30 years. She was a 40 year member of Alanon and a sponsor of Alateen.
Lorraine loved being with her family and friends. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed music and reading. She had a great sense of humor and just enjoyed life.
She is survived by her husband, Earl Olson of Willmar and a stepdaughter, Kathy Nelson of Brooklyn Park. Also surviving are three step grandchildren and one brother, Paul (and Frances) Lundeen of Hutchinson, besides other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; stepson, Larry Olson; four brothers, Harvey, Lawrence, Marvin and Elmer Lundeen and two sisters, Eleanor and Mildred.
