Louella Pederson

Louella Pederson (nee Carr), 88, of Willmar, MN, died peacefully at home, after a 13 year battle with Alzheimer's Disease, on Wednesday, November 28, 2012.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, December 3 at Bethel Lutheran Church in Willmar. The interment will be in the Bethel Cemetery. Memorials may be made in lieu of flowers, in Louella's name, to Bethel Lutheran Church in Willmar. Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 pm on Sunday, December 2, in the Heritage Room at Bethel Lutheran Church. Arrangements are with Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar
Louella was born on May 8, 1924, in Newville, AL, to Roberta (Strickland) and William Homer Carr. She spent her childhood in Dothan, AL and Abbeville, AL. She married Ray E. Pederson of Willmar, MN, in 1942, and moved to Willmar shortly after. Louella loved Willmar and had many life-long friends. She was a beautiful, giving person and will be missed dearly. She was an active member of Does and enjoyed gardening and entertaining. She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church.
Surviving are her daughter, Beverly Dougherty of Willmar; her grandchildren, Jason Dougherty of Willmar, Nancy Taranto (Bill) of Newtown, PA, and Kerry Dougherty of Lawrenceville, GA; great-grandchildren, Ryan Dougherty of Oxford, MI, Kate and Lily Dougherty of Lawrenceville, GA, and Brynne and Lia Taranto of Newtown, PA; Sisters Carolyn Brady (Ernest) of Cedar Springs, GA; Kay Moore (Charles) of Cherry Lake, FL. Brothers Wayne Carr of Donalsonville, GA, and Bob Carr, Hampton, GA.
Louella was preceded in death by her son, Steven Pederson of Minneapolis; husband, Ray Pederson of Willmar; and grandson, Tim Dougherty of Lawrenceville, GA. Parents: Roberta and Homer Carr, sisters Maudrie Creel and Mildred Holmes; brothers Bill Carr, Hugh Carr and Joe Carr.
