Ludean Evenson

Ludean E. Evenson, age 86 of Willmar and formerly of Sunburg, passed away Friday, March 13, at his residence in Willmar.

A celebration of life graveside service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 11, at Fairview Cemetery in Willmar.  Arrangements are with Peterson Brothers Funeral Home.  www.petersonbrothers.com

Ludean was born on April 14, 1934, the son of Helmer J. and Lydia (Lindgren)Evenson in Swift County, near Sunburg, Minnesota.  Ludean enjoyed life on the farm growing up. He loved spending time with his brothers and sisters and taking care of the livestock.  In 1999, Ludean made his home with REM. He enjoyed going to baseball games, watching Vikings football games, fishing, shopping, dancing with his friend, Betty, Bethesda Day Break and watching TV with his best buddy Denny.  Ludean collected and loved toy tractors.  He will be forever in our hearts and missed.

Surviving are four sisters, Avis Carlson of Hutchinson, Francine (and Chuck) Swenson of Sauk Rapids, Faith Skindelien of New London and Maverine (and Gordy) Anderson of Onamia, besides many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Carroll, Myron and Harland and three sisters, Lorraine, June and Charlene.
