Margaret (Naber) Hanson, age 91, of Willmar, died Friday morning, August 3, at Bethesda Heritage Center Nursing Home in Willmar.
Funeral services will be 1:30 P.M. Tuesday, August 7, at the Atwater Community Center. Interment will be in Cloverleaf Cemetery in Willmar. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 P.M. Monday at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar and one hour prior to the service.
Margaret Naber Hanson was born December 6, 1915, in Kamrar, Iowa, the daughter of Gerit and Jennie (Huisman) Naber. In 1916, her family moved to the Willmar area, where Margaret grew up and received her education. On December 1, 1939, she married Carlton Hanson in New London. The lived and farmed south of Atwater until their retirement in 1977. In 1988, they moved to Willmar. In July, Margaret moved to Bethesda Heritage Center. She enjoyed gardening. cooking and baking.
Margaret is survived by a daughter, Carol (and Don) Williams of Willmar; four sisters, Wilma, Violet and Ruby Naber, all of Willmar, and Rose Miller of Hutchinson; a brother-in-law, Clifford Hanson of Moses Lake, Washington; two sisters-in-law, Henrietta Naber of Renton, Washington, and Dorothy Naber of Moses Lake, Washington; many nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carlton in 1995; an infant son in 1942; three brothers, Edwin, LeRoy and Paul; a sister, Leone Hanson; a brother-in-law, John Miller and a sister-in-law, Ella Naber.
