Margaret Viola Renstrom, age 88, of Willmar, died Monday morning, Dec. 8, at the Willmar Commons Care Center.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, Dec. 11, at the Calvary Lutheran Church Chapel. Interment will be at Cloverleaf Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are with Peterson Brothers Funeral Home.
Margaret Viola Renstrom was born on August 4, 1920, on the family farm near Lake Lillian, the daughter of John and Mary (Heckman) Lang. She grew up and received her education in the rural Lake Lillian area. On April 5, 1941, Margaret was married to Lloyd Roulet. They lived and farmed in the Rosendale and Atwater areas. In 1977, they retired from farming and moved into Willmar. Margaret was employed at Piggly Wiggly and later at Molenaar Manufacturing for many years. Lloyd died in 1988. On September 21, 1990, Margaret was married to Ellsworth Renstrom. They made their home in the Hutchinson community and later returned to Willmar as their health declined. Ellsworth died in 2007. Margaret was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and in her younger years was talented at crafting, crocheting and embroidery work.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary (and Virgil) Froehlich of Bayfield, Colorado; three grandchildren, Joel (and Susan) Roulet, Travis Froehlich and Shelly Froehlich; four great grandchildren, Ashley, Beth, Rose and Samantha; and one great great grandson, Noah. Also surviving are two brothers, Bennard (and Audrey) Lang of Brainerd and Orvis (and Rhoda) Lang of Willmar; and three sisters, Lona Dallman of Cambridge, Lois (and Clifford) Andreen of Willmar and Mariam (and Sidney) Rooda of Willmar, besides other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; one son, Donald in 1963; one brother, Roger and one sister, Phyllis.
