Maria R. Ibarra Jimenez, 54, of Litchfield, died Wednesday, March 2, at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 A.M. Monday, March 7, at the Church of St. Mary in Willmar. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 P.M. Sunday, March 6, at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar with a Parish Prayer Service at 7 P.M. and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church.
Maria was born March 12, 1956 in Juarez, Mexico, the daughter of Manuel and Vita (Garcia) Jimenez. She grew up in Juarez, Mexico. On February 14, 1970 she married Daniel Ibarra Marquez and they continued to live in Juarez. In 1990, the family moved to Litchfied, Minnesota. Maria worked for several years at Golden Plump.
Maria enjoyed being with her family and grandchildren. She had a big heart and loved to help others. She also enjoyed dancing and listening to music, especially Mexican music.
She is survived by her husband: Daniel Ibarra Marquez of Litchfield; her children: Maria Ibarra (and Gabriel Valverde) of Willmar, Adrianna Ibarra (and Frank Saenz) of Willmar and Esteban Ibarra of Litchfield; thirteen grandchildren; a great-grandchild; five brothers: Juan (and Josefina) Jimenez of Litchfield, Manuel (and Eugenia) Jimenez of Albuquerque, NM; Adrian (and Joanne) Jimenez of Willmar, Jose Luis Jimenez of Willmar and Rafael (and Magdalena) Jimenez of Litchfield; a sister, Hortencia Sanchez of Baja California, Mexico; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother: Francisco; two sisters: Rosalva and Leticia; and a brother-in-law: Antonio Sanchez.
