Mark Todd Wiley

Mark T. Wiley, age 67, of Spicer MN passed away unexpectedly in his home on January 25, 2022. 

A private family graveside service was held at the Spicer City Cemetery on Friday, Jan. 28.  A public celebration of life service may be held at a later date.  Arrangements are with Peterson Brothers Green Lake Funeral Home in Spicer.  www.petersonbrothers.com 

Mark Todd Wiley was born on May 25, 1954, in Watertown, SD. to Robert and Clarice (Hammer) Wiley.  He was raised in Cresbard, SD and Granite Falls, MN.

Mark graduated from Granite Falls High School in 1972 and then attended Pipestone Technical College and Southwest State University.  Mark worked in the accounting, banking and insurance industries for several years and held insurance and real estate licenses.  After retiring he moved to Spicer.  He served on the Spicer Planning and Zoning board for many years and volunteered at community events.

Mark was knowledgeable on a wide variety of topics and enjoyed visiting with anyone about anything.  He had an exceptional memory. He enjoyed all aspects of lake living – boating, fishing, water skiing, swimming. He also enjoyed hunting and snowmobiling.  Mark was an animal lover and had a dog by his side his entire life.  Mark was a caring and devoted son and brother.  He will be greatly missed.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Clarice Wiley.

He is survived by his two sisters, Kim Wiley of Eden Prairie and Dawn (Greg) Garlough of Bloomington, besides other relatives and many friends.
