Martha Merle Gravley, 86, of Willmar, formerly of Raymond, died Sunday at Rice Care Center in Willmar.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Raymond United Methodist Church. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Raymond.
Visitation will be from 4:30 to 7 p.m. today at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home and for one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials to the Raymond United Methodist Church are preferred.
She was born Jan. 5, 1922, in Spicer to Jay and Fannie (Weld) Somerville. She grew up in Raymond, attended District 77 School and graduated from Willmar High School in 1941.
She married Otis Gravley on Oct. 31, 1942. They lived in Raymond. She worked for 12 years at the Bethesda Homes, 11 years at the Lindberg Nursing Home in Kerkhoven and for 6 years with the Divine House. She retired in 2000 and, in 2001, moved to Willmar. She was a member of the Raymond P.T.A., homemakers club, birthday club, Woods 4-H Club and served her church as a Sunday school teacher and member of the ladies aide.
She is survived by four children: Lois (and Leo) Prodoehl of Baldwin, Wis., Marlys (and Dennis) Lindquist of New London, Norma (and Larry) Blom of Willmar and Darrell (and LaRae) Gravley of Anoka; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one brother: William (and Evelyn) Somerville of Raymond.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1981 and two sisters.
