Marvel Joann Moots, age 80, of New Brighton, died Monday evening, March 31, at Unity Hospital in Fridley.
Services will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements are with Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar.
Marvel Joann Moots was born March 22, 1934, in Lamberton, Minnesota, the daughter of Joseph and Myrtle (Larson) Knutson. She graduated from Lamberton High School and then attended nurses training and began working as a nurse. On April 8, 1956, she married Willard A. Moots and they made their home in St. Paul. In the 1960s, they moved to New Brighton, where they raised their children. Marvel was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Lake Johanna. She enjoyed traveling, cooking and shopping. She cherished the time spent with family at family get-togethers.
She is survived by her husband, Willard "Bill" Moots of New Brighton; four children, Susan (and Allan) Logeais of Ham Lake, Bryan Moots of Arden Hills, Bradley Moots of Coon Rapids, and Dan (and Jill) Moots of Ham Lake; four grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Dennis Knutson.
