Mary "Gayle" Angier, age 81, of Willmar, died Thursday afternoon, June 9, at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 24, at the Church of the Nazarene in Willmar. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are with the Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar. (www.petersonbrothers.com)
Mary "Gayle" Angier was born on May 13, 1935, in Litchfield, Minnesota, the daughter of Theodore and Alma (Langren) Coleman. She grew up in Litchfield and graduated from Litchfield High School in 1953. She then attended Southwest State University in Marshall and received her X-Ray Technician certification. On September 29, 1956, Gayle was married to Kenneth Harlo Angier. From 1956 to 1970, they lived in various communities throughout Minnesota and South Dakota. In 1970, they moved to Benson and in 1985 they moved to Willmar. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene where she was a Sunday School teacher and was active in the women's bible study group. Gayle hobbies included knitting, cooking and baking.
She is survived by her three children, Thomas (and Robin) Angier of Grain Valley, MO., Stephan Angier of Tulsa, OK., and Brenda (and Jamie) Grothe of Forman, ND.; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren, besides other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Ken in 2011.
