Mary Alice Krogfus
September 2, 1927 - September 25, 2016

Mary Alice Krogfus, age 89, of Willmar, died Sunday morning, September 25, at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 3, at the Assembly of God Church in Willmar. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Mary Alice Krogfus was born on Sept. 2, 1927, near Roseland, Minnesota, the daughter of Frank and Alice (Van Buren) Rahn. She grew up in Willmar and graduated from Willmar High School in 1945. While she attended Willmar High School, Mary was a drummer in the school bands. On August 7, 1945, in Willmar, Mary was married to Donald W. Krogfus and they made their home in Willmar. Mary was employed as a bookkeeper at Electric Repair and Construction, Old Dutch and at the Willmar Reminder, retiring in 1992. Mary was a past member of the First Presbyterian Church and Redeemer Lutheran Church in Willmar and a current member of the Assembly of God Church. She was a good Christian woman who loved God and her family. She was always grateful for the many acts of kindness shown to her by others. Mary's hobbies included sewing, cooking, dancing, bird watching and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Donald of Willmar; two children, Susan Wells of New London and Don (and Laurie) Krogfus of Willmar; six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren and two sisters-in-law, Virginia Rahn of Waynesboro, VA., and Frances Rah of Willmar, besides other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Jeni; son-in-law, Paul; three brothers, Russell, Calvin and Willard and sister-in-law, Madora Rahn.
