Maurice W. Plowman, age 82, of Willmar, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, July 20, at Bethesda Grand in Willmar.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 27, at the First United Methodist Church in Raymond.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Willmar.  Arrangements are entrusted to the Peterson Brothers Funeral Home.  www.petersonbrothers.com

Maurice Wayne Plowman was born on November 8, 1939, in Holland Township, Kandiyohi County, Minnesota, the son of John H and Fanny (Vedders) Plowman.  He grew up in Willmar and graduated from Willmar High School in 1957.  Maurice made a career in law enforcement and retired as a Secret Service Agent for the U.S. Federal Government.  He enjoyed being outdoors hunting, fishing, biking and hiking.  He also enjoyed playing cribbage.  Maurice was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Raymond and a life member of the NRA.

He is survived by his three children, Greg (and Brenda) Plowman of Willmar, Dan Plowman of Anaheim, CA., and Nanci (and Steve) Trevino of Parker, CO., nine grandchildren, Sarah (and Anthony) Parra, Rebecca Contreras, Heather Roberts, Jonathan (and Stephanie) Plowman, Matthew (and Katie) Plowman, Thomas Plowman, Joseph Plowman, Anthony (and Melissa) Trevino and Austin (and Jordan) Trevino; and eighteen great grandchildren, Samuel, Mia, Zachery, Gabriel, Ali, Cierra, Hayden, Jon Ezra, David, Nathan, Meadow, Aubrey, Grayson, Fisher, Bridger, Austin, Avery, Steven Albert, in addition to numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Verone “Vicki” Connors.
