Michael Mario Buzzeo was born July 4 1954, in Bronx, New York, to Pasquale "Pat" Buzzeo and Audrey (Clegg) Buzzeo. He graduated from Northern Valley Regional High School, Old Tappan, NJ in 1972. He joined his brother Pat in Service to our Country in the U.S. Navy, stationed in San Diego. He and his first wife Diana (Lee) Bain, raised their son Jason Buzzeo in California for 2 years and moved to Des Moines, Iowa. He later moved back to Newberg, NY until he and his son moved to Spicer, MN in 1994. Mike worked as a Graphic Artist at Marketing Concepts working with his sister Diane Buzzeo. Mike's talent and passion for fishing, singing, dancing, theater, writing, and building and flying Radio Controlled model airplanes provided endless hours of enjoyment and friendships spanning his 57 years. He loved to fish anywhere from Green Lake to Polaski, NY to the Atlantic Ocean. In 1999, he met his current wife Cheri Swennes Antony at his sister's Christmas party! They were married on January 13, 2001. They enjoyed traveling, Mike's incredible cooking skills, family, friends and spending time with their 5 grandchildren.
Mike gave us the courage and tools to try anything! He encouraged us to reach for the moon, and if you missed, you caught a star. Mike passed away unexpectedly on April 9, 2012. He will be dearly missed by his wife, family, many dear friends, co-workers, fellow RC fliers, and theatre family. Anything he chose to do he did his very best. Mike made the best pot of gravy!
He is survived by his wife, Cheri; one son, Jason (and Robin) Buzzeo and their children: Anthony and Jacob of Wilmington, NC; stepdaughter, Monique Antony (and Mark) Peterson and their children: Madeleine, Maxton and Manning of Elk River, MN; his parents Pat & Audrey Buzzeo of Spicer, MN; four siblings, Christine Swift of Salisbury Mills, NY and her children, Jimmy and Robin; Diane Buzzeo (and Debbie Longo) of Boca Raton, FL and Spicer; Jim Buzzeo of Spicer and his son, James; and Janine Buzzeo (and Vincent Marino) and her children, Jennifer and Kenny Hegarty of Willmar, one sister-in-law, Jan Buzzeo of Port St Lucie, FL; and her children and grandchildren, Christopher (and Carla) Buzzeo, and Cecilia and Anthony of Willmar; Peter (and Jessica) Buzzeo, and Katelynn and Andrew of Maryland and Michael (and Ashley) Buzzeo, and Matthew of Maryland; and his sisters-in-law: Cathy (and Mark) Pregler and Cindy (and Glen) Stein and their families; besides many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Pasquale "Pat" Buzzeo, Jr. and brother-in-law, George Swift.
