Michael Lindgren

Michael Allen Lindgren, age 57, of Willmar, died unexpectedly Friday morning at his home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, Sept. 21, at Vinje Lutheran Church. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Funeral arrangements are with Peterson Brothers Funeral Home.
Michael was born on September 10, 1949, in Belgrade, Minnesota, the son of Warren and Clarice (Nelson) Lindgren. He grew up in the Atwater and Willmar communities and graduated from Willmar High School in 1967. He worked with his family at Lindgren-Lakeview Motors and later drove truck. In 1993, he was married to Laurie Sulzer and they lived in Willmar. Michael was most recently employed with Thein Well Company. He was an avid reader and enjoyed working on cars and race snowmobiles.
He is survived by his wife, Laurie of Willmar; five children, Jacob Lindgren of Willmar, Michelle (and Larry) Willsher of Nova Springs, IA., Shannon (and Chris) Knutson of Clearwater, Angie (and Gary) Swenson of Sartell and Jesse Lindgren of Sartell; and five grandchildren. Also surviving are his parents, Warren and Clarice Lindgren of Willmar; three siblings, Judy Lambertson of Willmar, Steven (and Barbara) Lindgren of Willmar and Shari (and Orv) Hastad of Merrifield, besides other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
