Nancy Jo (Lungstrom) Strand

Strand, Nancy Jo age 72, died on Wednesday July 24th after a prolonged battle with cancer. 

Nancy made the most of life every day, even in her ongoing battle with cancer. Spending time with family and friends filled her cup. Her grandchildren were her oxygen. Her “family” included all those that she surrounded herself with. Nancy loved life and never wasted a day. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, grandmother extraordinaire and loyal friend to all (even strangers). 

She was proceeded in death by her father, Bob Lungstrom. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Doug; mother Marilyn; children, Carrie (Trent) Clausen, Emily (Adam) Ailie and Darin (Brianna) Strand; grandchildren Dylan, Connor, Oscar, Russell, Maggie and Hazel; brother Mike (Lisa) and nephew Sam (Megan.)

Although too soon, Nancy is now at peace and with many loved family members and friends that have proceeded her in death. 

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, July 29th 11:00am at Refuge Church; 1000 6th Street SE, Willmar. Visitation from 10-11. Lunch will follow.
