Nicholas "Nick" Frederick Scheeler

Nicholas "Nick" F. Scheeler, age 53, of Silver Lake and formerly of Willmar, passed away Friday, May 26, at his residence in Silver Lake from complications of heart disease.

A gathering of family and friends to honor Nick's life will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 3, at Kandiyohi County Park #2 on Big Kandi Lake.  Arrangements are entrusted to Peterson Brothers Funeral Home.  www.petersonbrothers.com

Nicholas “Nick” Frederick Scheeler was born on July 20, 1969, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the son of Ellsworth and Barbara (Stewart) Scheeler.  He grew up in NE Minneapolis and at a young age moved to Willmar.  He attended school in Willmar, Belgrade and Atwater. Nick graduated from Atwater High School in 1988 and then attended the Willmar Vo-Tech.  He has been employed his entire life working as a laborer at Jennie-O Foods, Whitcomb Construction and for Lynden Swenson.  Nick enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling, tinkering with projects and helping others in need.

He is survived by his son, Kohl Scheeler of Bird Island; and five siblings, Mark (and Kathy) Dalager of Minneapolis, Ruthie Henderson (and Bob Jaskowiak) of Ramsey, Bruce Dalager of Mount Pleasant, TN., Phil (and Traci) Dalager of Minneapolis and Tina (and Kurt) Garberich of Lake Lillian; besides many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
