WILLMAR, MN

Pamela Ann Hougen, age 50, of Willmar, died Thursday afternoon, August 10th, at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.
Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 19th, at First Presbyterian Church in Willmar with Rev. Beverly Crute officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Willmar. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Arrangements are with Peterson Brothers Funeral Home of Willmar.
Pamela Ann Hougen was born on March 28, 1956 in Willmar, the daughter of Mary Ruth (Hanscom) and William Gerald Hougen. She grew up in this community, was baptized at Bethel Lutheran Church, confirmed at the First Presbyterian Church and received her education in the Willmar schools. Pam lived at Heather Hill and Friendship House for several years and for over twenty-eight years she was employed at West Central Industries. Pam was a long time member of the First Presbyterian Church, loved to sing with the choir, was a animal lover, a member of 4-H, participated in Special Olympics and was a video buff. She also loved being with family and friends and enjoyed fishing, playing cards, dice, coloring, drawing, knitting, crocheting, doing word search and latch hook rugs. She loved watching or listening to baseball with her grandmother, especially the Twins and collecting Barbie Dolls.
She is survived by her mother, Mary R. Rossell of Willmar, one sister, Lisa A. Hougen of Willmar, special friend, Larry Norton of Willmar, boy friend, Kevin Lange of Willmar and her stepmother, Marilyn Hougen of Coon Rapids. Also surviving are a stepbrother, Bill Luedke of Minneapolis and three stepsisters, Wendy Schmitz of Turkmenistan, Tammy Sullivan of Minneapolis and Kris Luedke of Minneapolis, besides many cousins and friends. Pam was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents and father, William in 1996.
