Pauline Frank, age 89, of Willmar, died unexpectedly Wednesday evening, February 8, at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 14, at the Church of St. Mary in Willmar. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Monday, February 13, at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar with a 7 p.m. Rosary service and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church.
Pauline (Jahner) Frank was born on October 26, 1922, in Regent, North Dakota, the daughter of Margaret (Wandler) and Michael Peter Jahner. She grew up in that area and received her education there. On January 29, 1946 she was married to Christian Frank and they farmed near Dickinson, ND until 1956 when they moved to the Willmar area. Christian own and operated the Little Miss Junior Furniture Store in Atwater. During that time they were members of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. In 1961 they established Frank's Cleaning Service which they owned and operated until their retirement in 1998. They were members of St. Mary's Church since moving to Willmar around the time they started the cleaning service. She was woman of faith and loved being with her family and friends. Pauline enjoyed dancing, sewing, gardening, canning, cooking and painting on dish towels.
She is survived by three sons: Donald (and April) Frank of Reseda, CA, Steven (and Wanda) Frank of Willmar, MN and Joseph Frank of Burbank, CA; six daughters: JoAnn (and Norm) DeRamus-Oxford of Bella Vista, AR, Virginia (and Leo) Breyer of Willmar, MN, Margaret (and Dennis) Hanson of Litchfield, MN, Cornella Blokzyl (and Jim Cully) of Willmar, MN, Dorothy (and Calvin) Quimby of Spicer, MN and Theresa (and Robert) Chiarelli of Agoura Hills, CA; 25 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Also surviving are a brother: Simon (and Bertha) Jahner of Dickinson, ND; three sisters: Catherine (and Don) Franchuk of Dickinson, ND, Viola (and Jim) Franchuk of Bismarck, ND and Dorothy (and Rodger) Nichols of Fargo, ND; several nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband (Christian in 2004), son (Patrick in 1979), three great grandchildren, son-in-law (Carl DeRamus), 1 brother (George Jahner in 2008), and 1 sister (Leontine Braun in 2007).
