Philip Davis

Philip R. Davis, 46, of Willmar, died unexpectedly at his home on Monday, December 3, 2012.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 12, at Vinje Lutheran Church in Willmar. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Funeral arrangements are with the Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar.

Philip Roy Davis was born on January 19, 1966, in Seattle, Washington. He was adopted at 5 months old by Eugene Franklin and Mary Georgine (Miller) Davis. At the age of 5 years, he moved to Reno, Nevada where he grew up and received his education. In November 1986, he married Kathleen Spell and they had one son, Stefan Davis. They later divorced. On January 26, 1991, Philip was united in marriage to Kimberlee Ann Peterson and they made their home in Reno. In 1999, they moved to Willmar, Minnesota and later divorced. Philip was employed as an auto mechanic for many years and later worked at Willmar Poultry Company and at Jennie-O Foods. He was currently trying to further his education at the Alexandria Technical College.

Philip's hobbies included auto mechanics and clean garages, collecting hats, camping, fishing and watching Sunday football games with his family. His three children and "Jr." were his pride and joy.

He is survived by his three children, Stefan Davis of Sparks, Nevada, Tosha Davis (and special friend, Aaron Privette) of Willmar and Kerstin Davis of Willmar; two grandchildren, Kallie and Karissa Davis; and special friend, Kimberlee Peterson of Willmar. Also surviving are his parents, Eugene and Mary Davis of Sparks, Nevada; one brother, Earl (and April) Davis of Huntsville, Alabama; two sisters, Donna (and Len) Rysdyk of Glen Cove, New York and Kathryn Davis (and David Butler) of Seattle, Washington; his ex-wife, Kathleen and her family; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
